Julie Lorah, Ph.D.

Dr. Lorah is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University Bloomington where she teaches quantitative methods courses, including intermediate statistics, multivariate statistics, and multilevel modeling. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Washington.
Dr. Lorah's research interests involve advanced statistical models including primarily multilevel modeling, moderation effects, and model comparison procedures. She is particularly interested in investigating ways to interpret and present results from more complex quantitative models, such as measures of effect size and visual presentation of results. Additionally, Dr. Lorah has worked substantively in the areas of STEM and music education
