Shimon Sarraf, M.P.A.

Research Associate

Shimon Sarraf is a 4th year Inquiry Methodology Ph.D. student with a minor in Learning Sciences in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University Bloomington.


Shimon has also been employed by the IU Center for Postsecondary Research at the School of Education since 2004 where his work as the Assistant Director for Survey Operations and Project Services for NSSE (National Survey of Student Engagement) entails a wide variety of things related to promoting the survey project, collecting feedback from our many institutional users across the country to inform our activities, and conducting research and publishing on various student engagement topics and survey methodology questions aimed at improving data quality.


Shimon was born on Staten Island (New York City) and raised in Morris Plains, NJ. His degrees include a B.A. from UNC-Chapel Hill and a M.P.A. from SPEA, Indiana University. When not working or studying these days, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children (ages 11 and 13), and our Boston Terrier, Hertzel.
